    M&P-10: The Birthday Present I Didn't Deserve

    I was surprised to come home after being away for almost three months and my dad hands me this and says happy birthday. We're not rich and I didn't do anything special to deserve this. I just have a great family.

    The scope is a shitty old "blazer" hunting scope by simmons on some $5 walmart rings. The gun will get decked out with magpul foliage green stocks and handguard, and 25 round windowed magazines when I can afford it. Then I need to decide on using a hunting or "SPR" type optic such as a 3-12x or 4-14x, or whether I want to use closer range optic like a fixed 5x or a 1-6x. A modular free-float tube will come much further down the line, as it is not a priority for me.

    I don't normally get gifts this good. I helped my dad pick this rifle out at a great price back in January and I wondered why he never shot. He was saving it for me.

    Can you not get a five round version?

    This would make an excellent hunting rifle. Light and portable but accurate and powerful. I can't wait to shoot it.

    Hell Yes! My Dad is the absolute fucking man! He's my best friend and role model, mostly.
