This past weekend. It was the UTapao air base, Thailand alumni gathering which they have been having for several years. I just found about it this year. We are all air force veterans that served at UTapao air base from 1966-1973 during the Vietnam war tending to, or flying, B-52s. Alot of memories were awakened that I had not thought of over the last 47 years. It was in Shreveport LA which is where Barksdale AFB is. It is one of the bases for B-52s left. The unit I was in was the 4258th which turned into the 307th bomb wing in 1970. The bomb wing at Barksdale is the 307th. When they heard we were coming, they bent over backwards to make us welcome. They even dedicated one of the B-52s to us Vietnam veterans. Moving ceramony. On Saturday, there was a big air show with many display aircraft and the Blue Angels performed. I had never been to a reunion of any kind. What an experience. I can't wait for the one next year.....chris
