I heard this on talk radio the other day. It boggles the mind that people are this stupid to think that making an employer pay higher wages won't affect their businesses.
A lot of marginal-profit businesses will fold and those that hold on will be forced to charge more for their products, forcing people to look elsewhere for those services at a more reasonable rate.
Of course, those minimal wage earners are going to be laid off in droves, thereby forcing higher taxes to pay for their unemployment checks, spreading out the tax increases to everyone in the state, who will be forced to pay for these new additions to the welfare roles.
Los Angeles will turn into a business wasteland.

Seattle also has implemented a $15 minimum wage. Thus far they've seen prices rise, people get laid off and businesses forced into bankruptcy.
There simply is no free lunch, but you can't convince a commie of that. They will see the country destroyed in search of their unobtainable utopia.

Don't forget the unions love this idea. That's because their contracts stipulate that union wages are tied to the minimum wage. If that goes up they get an undeserved raise themselves.

A Wacdonalds on my way to work has, in the last 2 months, ALWAYS gotten my order wrong. Not filled my drink up all the way in the drive through, forgotten fries, and given me stale fries. Not to mention one morning they filled my large ddp about 4 inches from the top of the cup, and when I asked, the chick in the window acted pissed and dissappeared for 5 minutes. Then she came back, got a new cup, and filled it up all the way. But she DESERVES $15......

If you want to help folks making minimum wage just exempt them from paying income taxes.
I assume you are talking about an exemption from State income tax since (as many people don't seem to be aware) low to moderate income working people not only pay no/zero Federal income tax, they get a Federal welfare payment via the IRS called an EITC tax refund.
All you are qualified to do is flip burgers after receiving a liberal education.
