    Islam and Christianity In Prophecy

Just finished the book "Islam and Christianity in Prophecy" by Tim Roosenberg. It was a pretty clear explanation of the prophecies from the Bible in Daniel and Revelation. If you are interested in Bible prophecy I would check this book out.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

I sorta figured Mohammed fit the description of a false prophet.

Not quite. In fact the Prophet is not mentioned though the book makes a strong case that Islam is and that the current war with extremist Islam was prophesied about all the way back in Daniel.

Specifically Daniel 11 to the end of the book, but also some of Daniel 7. He also ties this into the prophesies of Revelation. He makes a compelling case that the king of the south transitioned from being a political king to a religious system that exerts political power over a group of states. It is very similar to the Boonstra videos we have talked about but he identifies not only the king of the north but also the king of the south. The king of the south is usually sort of glossed over.

Have any of you gentlemen read What Every Christian Needs to Know about the Qur'an, by James R. White?

I started reading it a few days ago. Not exactly a page turner, but interesting nonetheless.

Just what I have bookmarked in my copy of the Qur'an

    No Crucifixion:
    Qur'an Chapter-4 Part-6 vs 157

No Trinity; Christ is not God:
    Qur'an Chapter-5 Part-10 vs 72-77

    The Bottom Line:
    Qur'an Chapter-9 Part-5 vs 30

    God has no Son:
    Qur'an Chapter-25 Part-18 vs 2

Yes, they don't believe Christ was God's son, and they don't seem to believe in the Holy Spirit either.

Had not heard of that book, but it is not something I would normally look for. I am not big into reading and studying other religious books to learn their problems, especially when there is so much that I still need to learn about the Bible. I read reviews of it and I will put it on my list of books to check out, though. Depending on how it is written it could be pretty informative.
