I've never in my life heard of a swamp monster / lizard man in South Carolina.

Damn, I'm a Yank and I've heard about said lizard man. Bishopville, SC has a tourist industry based on the lizard man alone.

Whoever made that map forgot about the Wookie in DC.

The wookie in DC? Remember that this map is of a Cryptozoological creatures. We KNOW the Wookie actually EXISTS, so thus Cryptozoology doesn't apply

Very true, my friend, very true! Same reason the Hildebeast is not featured on this map!

We have the Moth man. I have heard of that. We also have the Bat boy. From the lost world caverns. Really close to me.
