At this point you have to call Greece a failed state.

The socialists are running out of other peoples money.
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

Let's just pray it's not the whole country.

We have obvious issues with entitlements, but public sector union pensions are going to be an enormous problem too.

Can someone help me understand what's going on in the EU please? From what I gather, one of the EU countries borrowed a bunch of money from the others right? Now, not only can they not pay it back, they want more? It sounds like typical socialist BS to me. They'll just end up printing more right?

The southern members, Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal are economic basket cases. Tons of debt combined with high percentages of GDP being spent on entitlements. Also along the med theres a tradition of demanding the sun and moon from the government while avoiding paying taxes at all cost. Oh, they retire early, take long vacations and don't have enough kids to pass the expenses to.

It should be noted that Austria isn't doing well either.

When you look at the demographics of Europe going forward, there is no way in hell this ends well for any of them. Europe is toast.

The Germans are getting tired of it, they bear a bigger burden than the other EU countries because their economy is larger.

One doesn't have to be an economist to see that the whole deal is going to end badly. The US and China will feel the pain too.

    And we aren't?

Its funny instead of the rats jumping ship. The sheer number of rats jumping on are sinking the ship.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." ----- Jack Burton 1986

Good point, Phil. We are (as is all the west) being overran. God help us, where is our Martell?
