If this were up to me, I would've simply bought some of each being considered and given them to different units to use and test and give feedback. And then pick.

Seems to me that the Glock makes the most sense. Point and click. I would've loved to see them go with a 21SF but we all know they'll never go back to the 45ACP.

    Sig will be 9mm NATO.

Yeah, I heard a blurb about this filing on the local Talk Radio channel a few days back.

It makes so much sense. It isn't the Army's money, it is our tax money that is going to replace a reliable 9mm with another 9mm.

As said earlier, unless we play by the same rules as our "enemy" the new nine won't be any better than the old one, just more expensive.

I also agree with Shuetzenman's statement that the FNH Five seveN would make more sense. Standard 20 round mags, 30 available. Virtually zero recoil and a proven light body armor piercer. And isn't a pistol's job to allow the user to fight enough to reach their rifle?

Another of a seemingly long line of taxpayer money being used for nothing better than what didn't work yesterday. TOSS 9MM BALL, START USING SELF DEFENSE HOLLOW POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
