    AKM bayonet Q.

Ok bought the AK63D Hungarian u/f and the question is what type of akm bayo would have been issued
with the rifle? Been doing some reading and cannot find where Hungary manu. one, so if they didn't.......
back to the question. I am seeing where the type II was made in Russia, E. Germany, Romania, Poland,
Bulgaria. Would it be one or all. My Yugo bayonet doesn't seem to want to fit. I have not forced the issue,
because it should simply clip/snap on. Any historians. Going to bed I think I got too hot today.

I can't answer your question but when Mr Kalashnikov saw them putting a bayo lug on his rifle, he was reported to have remarked that if a bayonet was necessary, just turn the rifle around and use it as a club.

Hungarians made a version, but your yugo should snap on just the same.
Here is a pic: the hanger is two piece and in most cases the belt loop piece is missing:

Looking at the photos of your AK rifle a type 2 should fit it just fine. You have the lug at the gas block down the barrel. Try squeezing the release button as you seat it to release the lock on pressure.

Just tried it Schuetz and no go, seems the bayo is stopped short in the fsb guide. The bayo lock stops
from 1/8 to 3/16ths short. Weird, I may just send it back to Century and have them take a look.
Yeah I am going to give them a call and see what they say.
