The Lee Enfield Finally Leaves Canadian Ranger Service

As far as I have been able to tell, the Canadian Rangers are the last formal, first-world military organization still using a WWII-era bolt action rifle as a standard-issue weapon (correction – the Danish Slædepatruljen Sirius, a similar type of unit in Greenland, still uses the M1917 Enfield in .30-06). Well, until now anyway.

The Lee Enfield is one hell of an accurate deer rifle, too. It's nice to see it lasted this long in service.

Going to Sako rifles. I guess they'll lose the 10 round mag capacity then... The TC3's look quite rugged - aperture sight is a good idea but the scope rail covers the receiver so no stripper clips...

I guess they need these folks to be somewhat PC - thus, the bolt actions...

I was wondering....were those WWII issue or manufactured later? When was the last manufacturing run on Lee Enfields?

What SUCKS ASS is the fact that the LIBTARD government of CANADA is going to destroy the thousands of retired Enfield rifles rather then sell them off. Think about it. MAKE money selling the rifles, or SPEND taxpayer money to destroy them. Politicians make the dumbest decisions all the time.

Think about it Tank, they are just looking out for the safety of the civilian population. Can you imagine the havoc if these rifles fell into the hands of drug dealers, smugglers, and bank robbers? The carnage would be horrific.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.
