Hmmm, that's a good point. I'm sure it's the same with most other state's CCW's too - they are legally a "pistol".

Too bad we can't have Krink clones here in the Land of Lincoln, I would love to have one of those with a folder stock.

I found the AMD65 based pistol I built to be just as accurate as my 16" AK rifles when bagged on a bench. It sure did have a ton of muzzle flip though.

Do you still have your pistol? I too build one from an AMD-65 kit with original barrel several years back on a DIY Tapco receiver; I just used a pistol rear trunnion, but as a pistol it was pretty much useless. A couple weeks ago I pinned on a barrel extension, replaced the pistol trunnion with a rifle trunnion & replaced the furniture with the new MagPul AK furniture ... I like it and it's very mild shooting.

As you can see the receiver is now buggered up from the trunnion switch, one of these days I'll build a new one or if NoDakSpud is doing custom serial numbers again I may go that route. Also, that rail can't be zeroed with the sight that came on it or the one that's on it now; but I like the concept so I may get one of those railed top covers that locks into the front sight base that Apex has ... so little money, so little time ... but where there's a will there's a way.

Nah, sold it long ago. I have only 1 AK left, the SAR-3. I like it because it is AK reliable, much more accurate than most of the 7.62 guns and it allows me to not have to stock 7.62x39 ammo.

I've got an PAP M85 & I love it too ... but it's SBR'd, so for this conversation, I don't think it counts

Hey kimberkid what kind of muzzel device is on your ak you have pictured ?

It looks like a cut down suppressor they make for the Krinkovs. I have fake full size one and yours looks like a baby verson of what I have.

That's exactly what it is, a fake shortened version ... I emailed the guy that makes them and he said he could do a short one ... didn't charge anything for special order extra either.
