How about we give this thread a timeout? The elections are a long time away yet to start getting too rambunctious.

I like Paul more than the others. I like the direction he wants to take this country in. Like actually having a government actually abiding by the constitution. While I disagree with his immigration stance, I otherwise generally agree with his views, even if at times a little grudgingly. While I'd like to see Cruz as VP, VP is a pretty useless position and he is a useful senator.

If I recollect correctly, this forum was all in for Ron Paul four years ago. I thought Rand would get a lot more love here then he's getting?!

The field of Repub candidates has changed dramatically since then, AND, the state of the country has changed even more so.

6 1/2 years of Jugears and the Wookie has taken its toll... There are a lot of stronger sounding candidates out there now.

However, if push comes to shove, almost ANY Repub candidate is far better then ANY Dimocratic candidate.

Time will tell who comes out on top.

An establishment Republican isn't any better than a Democrat. Big-government statism doesn't become someting better just because you hang the letter "R" on it.

Well I am still sticking to the one I have been stuck from the very beginning. Ted Cruz. It makes me warm and fuzzy when he calls a liar a liar.
Plus I love for the established to get steamed. As far as the Donald he is really hitting a cord with a lot of people, including me, but I just do not know.
I am really pumped about this so called debate coming up, I anticipate it will draw a lot of attention.

I fear Trump will say one thing and do the opposite. Cruz may be a safer bet what with Paul lavishing praise upon illegals and considering the traditional open border stance of the libertarians. I dunno, but one thing I am sure of is how about we give this thread a timeout?

Was already put in timeout once. You must have missed that. Were you in timeout?

Knowing that Trump is leading in the polls is disturbing. While I agree with A LOT of what he says, I am not so sure if he is speaking from the heart or his ass. Trump has a past record that is all over the place.

IMO, Trump is going to say whatever helps Trump.

He is a businessman and he knows how to sell himself. What we see now is nothing but a successful advertising campaign.

Obama and his ministers of propaganda sold him to the low information voters. Time for a guy that knows how to make money and run a large organization to have a shot. Professional politicians don't know how to do anything much as they mostly have never done anything else. At least Trump has. Does that mean I am 100% in favor of him, not at all. I'd rather Cruz be the man.

Trump has had a consistent message about his abilities and making the country great again. Only time will tell if he wins and if he's full of shit. Could he be any worse than Obama?
