    Ok, Tom. How about we just disband all police departments and make it every man for himself?     Defending oneself while a crime is occurring is left to the citizen. It's not a responsibility of the police. Even the Supreme Court agrees. Protecting oneself is what the Second Amendment is all about. Can't believe that left lunatic site got that right, along with the fact the police are not legally obligated to protect you.

    In many cities it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to start arming the Fire Dept personnel.

    Even tho the fire dept exists, I still buy fire extinguishers.

    as much as I don't like the militarization of police that we are seeing, I still want them around and I still want them actively patrolling. Having them sit around waiting for crime to happen sounds like a terrible idea.

    Crime happens a hell of a lot more than fires around here too.
