    My rifle isn't prohibited anymore

The Canadian Gubmit just passed Bill C-42 which removed the prohibited status of the CZ-858 (Military VZ-58 converted to semi auto)

They also removed the requirement to get permission to take handguns to the range, club, gunshop, friends house etc..

    Pretty cool.

Happened yesterday and i just found out right now.

    Time to celebrate.

Congrats on at least one firearm victory. And you don't have a supreme law of the land mandating that the government cannot infringe on your right to keep and bear arms.

Glad to hear news like this but a little confused
Were you able to keep the rifle at home and just not take it to ranges?
    Kit waiting to be built?
Had it but couldn't tell anyone?
If you can't say, that's cool, just curious

When they were prohibited by the RCMP last year the federal government stepped in and created an amnesty until they could create the correct legislation to solve the problem. Part of Bill C-42 also removed some of the RCMP's power to reclassify firearms.

During the amnesty, owners were allowed to keep their rifles at home. Not take them outside or sell them.

I recommend you buy some rubber boots and start wearing them outside. With loosening the restrictions on guns it will be no time at all before there is blood running through the streets.

Actually, that is very good news. Congratulations.

Yeah I had read where the RCMP had made a lot of people upset with their effort
to set and regulate law. Good for you and the others in Canada. Keep fighting!

I'm glad that some grief has been removed from your life, but I just cannot get excited about a "government" deciding to "allow" a free citizen to own and use his personal property.

Don't take this the wrong way... you know what I mean.
