    My Dad started me out on an old pump-action carnival .22 when I was about 5. Two years later, he was teaching me to shoot his Natl. Guard M1 Garand. On a 7 year-old, those suckers KICK!!

    Dad started me with a cap and ball black powder rifle that he put just enough powder in that the ball came out. Little bit later I was on to the .22lr rifle. He v was never rreally into surplus rifles
