    Another Police Officer Ambushed

Guy walked up behind the Deputy while he was pumping gas and shot him in the back. When the Deputy fell, the guy stood over him and fired multiple times. This is becoming way to frequent and in some parts of our society this is celebrated and the person doing the killing is held up as a hero. We are in a lot of trouble.

HOUSTON (AP) — A sheriff's deputy in uniform was shot and killed Friday night while filling up his patrol car at a suburban Houston gas station, according to authorities.

Deputy Darren Goforth, 47, was pumping gas into his vehicle about 8:30 p.m. Friday when a man approached him from behind and fired multiple shots, Harris County Sheriff's Office spokesman Ryan Sullivan told The Associated Press. Once the deputy fell to the ground, the suspect fired more shots.

Amazing, he shoots someone who would have helped him in the direst of circumstances.

This is nothing more than the fruits of Obama's labors. He's made it okay for things like this to happen.

    More blood on Obama's hands....

Other than the Civil War, I doubt any President has had this much bloodshed, on American soil, during his tenure (not talking about just Police Officers, either).

Nice legacy our Resident is leaving for history to record... Instead of building a "library," he would be better off building a cemetery and naming it, "Obama Gardens."

Reports say he was turned in by his mother and is in custody.

Just a guy ranting. I've actually read the same type of expression here on this forum. The suggested recipients of the violence were pretty much the only difference. Both are just blabbering by armchair/keyboard commandos.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of feeble minded individuals in our society that could be influenced by either type or message.

Here's the general attitude that many blacks, and other people, share about LEO's and, when you determine where it's all coming from, there's only one answer....the Obama Administration's anti-police rhetoric and activities.

Obama has fed the flames and is the the main reason all this crap is happening.

We can't lay all the blame on this administration. I recall one of our members \ former members, years ago posting that an LEO in a news story should be killed and his wife and kids locked in the trunk of their car and the car set on fire. That was a white member taking about a white LEO. Plenty of ignorant, hateful people before this POTUS but I will concede that the number after him will have increased dramatically.

Just stating facts as proof that this mentality far predates Obama but you knew that already. The old hatred just doesn't fit the current agenda. No praise for anyone in my post but you knew that too.

Of course, this mentality isn't new, but since O took office, it has increased and become much more common. O just threw gasoline on the spark that was already there and this is the result. Hardly a week goes by without an LEO getting shot somewhere.

I don't remember it ever being this commonplace.

Actually it hasn't. 2001 was the worst year and even then officers killed by gunfire were down, percentage wise. Seems the average is between 30-40% deaths by gunfire with auto accidents almost always #2. Here's the source for my figures so anyone interested in the facts can see some.

    https://www.odmp.org/search/year?year=2001

Most people assume it's increasing due to more media coverage and more interest. If you think something is happening you tend to notice new examples and therefore there must be more of them happening. That's not always the case.

I remember reading that in the early 1970s, the police mortality rate due to being shot was much higher than any time in the last 15 years. And nope, NO ONE used an evil "Assault weapon" because that classification of firearm wasn't even widely available. I read that police historians noted that we have spikes in 'anti police' violence (but it's nearly ALWAYS black perps versus cops).

Though Obama has a lot of blame to shoulder, I note that the LIBERALS and the MEDIA have gone more insane than usual. But years of Liberal propaganda have twisted the minds of easily manipulated people into irrational rage. That's the legacy of the LIBERALS - years of dysfunctional society.
