I think what we need, in the next President, is for him to form a new House Committee on UnAmerican Activities and start rounding up liberals/socialists and go from there. Any activity that is/was unconstitutional should be dealt with as a crime.

Well, what we've done so far, in the past 25 or so years, has done nothing but give us a liberal press, Obama, Clinton, ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Fed overstepping its authority in almost every area, a breakdown in race relations, lawlessness running rampant on our streets, and a deficit of unimaginable proportions....and it doesn't look much like "success" to me. As a matter of fact, I think we've regressed. Our present course will only lead us further into socialism or communism.

Sending the police out to round up people with undesirable political opinions is exactly what I hate about communism or any other form of totalitarianism.
My problem with the liberals is they've become the PC police. Replacing political correctness with actual political prisons and prisoners and thought police is not what we want to do.
How can we call ourselves the supporters of limited government while calling for walling in the entire country and using the police to round up undesirables? How are people who hold the mass confiscation of arms as a worse case scenario supporting the creation of a totalitarian police state complete with thought police who examine the speech and writings of citizens for undesirable political opinions?

That would be the case if this were a simple rivalry in the free market of ideas. It isn't. There is no such thing as a free market of ideas when dealing with collectivist ideologies. They lie. They cheat. They manipulate. They have captured the media. They have captured education. They have destroyed free speech. They have bribed an underclass that they created. Those they can't convince, they are working to replace. Everything they do is designed to make "competition" impossible. This isn't the high school debate club, it's a form of warfare.
It isn't simply that they have "undesirable political opinions". They have actively conspired to deprive me of my rights. This is a crime and should be treated as such.

Look, I alternate back and forth on this issue basically depending on how pissed off I am that day. But looking at it objectively, I do NOT want a Pinochet in the United States. As much as I'd like to start taking commies on one-way helicopter rides, the systems required in order to monitor the population and perform mass round ups and deportations would absolutely come back around to bite us in the ass. Besides that, I think most of us would change our minds as soon as someone asks you to inform on your peaceful neighbor, or you have to watch buses actually come and collect people from your neighborhood.

Your statement would be valid if we were in fact living in a democracy. We are not. For example, when you can be indefinitely incarcerated without a trial of any kind (e.g., for not signing a marriage license for two homosexuals) you are not living in a democracy. The modern day liberal would think nothing of putting you in a reeducation camp, prison, or taking some or all of your property without due process if it advances their cause to do so.
