Exclamation Boycott RAtM/SoaD and any other violent rock bands.

Iv'e noticed while listening to a rock station all i hear about is "anti cop/anti Capitalism" themes. Both old and new.

We should not be letting our kids listen to these tunes in any format.

look out for Rage/System in your children's album collections, and tell them that what they are listening to sponsors hate and anger against our country.

we should teach them the history of our nation and warn against what is at steak in their loving nation.
    Keep your will turning...

I agree but music is a small part. A solid education, at all levels, critical thinking as mentioned and a lot of the other stuff
    becomes a joke.

There is no such thing as critical thinking in schools anymore. In fact, they discourage it.

I don't know much about the band System of a Down, but I do know that the lead singer is a goat-humping, camel ballsack licking, boy-fondling hypocritical liberal.

Most kids who listened to Rage when I was in school came equipped with CHE' t-shirts..

The SoaD listeners were borderline teen angst / faggot types.

Does anyone still listen to these bands I feel like you are about 15 to 20 years late to the party. Blaming music is bs IMHO

I don't listen to any new music. I listen to Classical at work, NPR and WJR.

I enjoy music from both bands, and they have some tunes that sound great. However I'm not blind to what they stand for, nor do I support their message outside of their anti-authoritarianism. It's one of them deals where I appreciate their sound, but not the message.

However, I have to agree with Deth, and l921428x you can't blame the music. Recognizing it for what it is, being educated, and having the (what should be) common sense to make your own observations and form your own opinions instead of blindly following that of bands you listen to is the way to go.

Tom Morello is an outspoken communist. Not the Hollywood-idiot-parroting-leftist-talking-points-to-look-cool type either. He is a dyed-in-the-wool, red-baby communist with enough intellect to make him dangerous. He isn't a "socialism is for the little people" elitist, he actually believes in this shit. Brilliant guitarist, dangerous ideology.

12 string guitars only have 6 extra strings, but they're 85 TIMES as likely to be used in a song about wizards.

^You're very right. He regularly donates large sums of his money and lives rather simply. Strangely enough however, he and vocalist Zach De La Rocha are fans of Kiss, the epitome of capitalist pigs.

You can enjoy the music while opposing ideology.

I have to admit, that when I was young I couldn't understand the words because the music was so loud....It was all about the music.

Meaning that I din't understand the BS.

I got wise when I was inducted into the UAW, when I got hired and went to work immediately. Literally walked out to the job.

It reminded me of what I learned in grade school. Back then we learned about Communism and Socialist society's so I knew right away what was going on. Took 30 yrs to get out.
