Is .22 RF Still Scarce In Your Area?

I hadn't seen any .22 RF all summer and just ran into some at one of the WallyWorlds around here. I asked the clerk if .22's were still hard to get in and he said that they've been getting it pretty regularly, but in small amounts. He said they got 7 cases in this past Monday and he put it on the shelf that day and they still had quite a few boxes of it, and .22 Mag., left on Wed.

I bought 3 boxes of 333 Winchester. I'll go back tomorrow and see if they have any .22 Mags left.

Not sure if the supply is starting to come back, now, or not, but this is the first I've seen this summer.

Is it still scarce in your area?

Gander mountain back home had 1500 round tubs of .22LR, I bought one for $70, and they had plenty more on the shelf.

Haven't seen at WalMart, and I check each time I go. I did find a single 40 round box of American Eagle at Dicks a couple of weeks ago that the clerk said had been there a few days. The NRA Range also had .22LR last time I went but it was still a touch high, about .12 cents a round. The guy behind the counter there told me that the week before it was about .08 cents a round but the new shipment was a little more expensive. This tells me that the manufacturers are starting to catch up with demand. Still a ways to go, but getting better.

It's still a little higher priced than it was, and far from having shelves collapse under its' weight, but it seems to be on the shelves consistently in my area for the past month or so.

Yeah it is making a very slow comeback. 3 months ago I found standard velocity CCI at Walmart but haven't seen anything since then. There is a local gun shop that seems to have .22 LR of some sort, (usually Federal) in stock. I've snagged a 325 round box of Federal AutoMatch each month for the last 3 months for about 23.31 / box out the door price. I'd rather have CCI but hey let's face it Federal is substantially better than nothing.

Went to a small festival near here today and one of the vendors had a mixed supply. Really surprised me, seemed like a portable pawn shop but I grabbed 200 rounds since it was right there.
12 cents a round no tax could have done better I suppose but usually gets bought up if some shows up around here
