My brother-in-law's Christmas present this year

My brother-in-law has been a huge help working on some stuff around my house for me, so I figured I'd reward him with a nice gift for Christmas this year. He does not own an AR15, and I want to change that, so I assembled a unique rifle for him. Due to the fact that he runs an insurance office, he is getting an insurance-themed rifle to match the company he is an agent of. Sorry for the poor photos - my wife has the camera somewhere.

I had fun with this build, and it turned out to be a really nice, lightweight rifle at 5.8 pounds. Here is the list of parts, if anyone is interested:

Tactical Gear Junkie Custom Ejection Port Cover
    Seekins Precision Enhanced Bolt Catch
Seekins Precision Magazine Release Button, Blue
Seekins Precision Ambi Safety Selector, Blue
Seekins Precision Billet Trigger Guard, Blue
    Receiver Extension, Commerical, DPMS
    Buffer Spring, Carbine
    Magpul K2 Pistol Grip, Black
Magpul MBUS Flp-Up Rear Sight, Black
    Carbine Recoil Buffer, Heavy (3.8oz)
    ALG Defense Advanced Combat Trigger
Spikes Tactical Lower Receiver Parts Kit
Magpul MOE Slim Line Carbine Handguard, Black
Mission First Tactical Battlelink Stock, Commerical
    Troy 5.56 Medieval Flash Suppressor
Blackhawk Receiver End Plate Single Point Sling Adaptor
    Core-15 Charging Handle
    Bolt Carrier Assembly, 5.56 M16
    Del-ton Inc. 16" 5.56 lightweight barrel assembly, 1:9 twist
Spikes Tactical Upper Receiver with forward assist , blem
    Anderson Manufacturing stripped lower receiver
    Blackhawk Single Point Bungee Sling
    Gas Tube, Carbine, DPMS
    Delta Ring Assembly, DPMS
The pen is mightier than the sword, but only when you're shoving it through your enemy's throat.

Man, I wish I had you as a brother-in-law. Not that mine is a bad guy, but he would never think to go to this length to show his appreciation for me. It is awesome that you did this. By the way, that rifle looks great.

How did you get the text on the dust guard?

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

A company called Tactical Gear Junkie does custom engraving on ejection port covers. You can submit text to them or upload images that they will engrave for you.

Thanks, guys. My B-I-L has spent countless hours volunteering his time (for free) to paint and install lighting around my house over the past year. He sure deserves something like this!

Just recently got the chance to test-fire the Full Coverage Rifle - it ran without a hitch and it was a hoot to handle thanks to its nimble 5.8 pound weight. The funny thing is that both the elevation and windage were already dead-on on 50 yards - I've never had that happen before, especially with a rifle assembled from a hodge-podge of parts.
