We've had some bad spells particularly when we first got married and we were poor through bad choices financially at the start(mostly on my part) and almost destroyed the marriage a couple years ago when I had an emotional affair with an old girlfriend on the internet, but we persevered. My advice to young people just starting their marriage, don't assume it will always be bliss and don't give up, it's an ongoing partnership as long as you both value it and are willing to work through the tough spots and love each other.
