Considering how high up the plane was when it appeared to be hit having it fall back inside Syria does not mean it was not shot over Turkey. I also heard this morning that Russia is reporting that it rescued one of the pilots after a 12 hour or so search and rescue mission.

The portion of Turkey that knives into Syria was crossed in about 18 seconds by the Russian jets. That is if they actually crossed into Turkey at all, makes me wonder if Turkey fired on the Russian jets when they were in Syria.

Can you blame them? Every Thanksgiving, hundreds of thousands are massacred for the dinner table. How much more of this "turkey-cide" are they supposed to put up with before they start fighting back?

Ha ha... bite me, *I* thought it was funny. Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys.

Damn... even the Nazis and Japanese (usually) didn't do that in WW-II. That kind of barbarity just brings the wrath of an angry country down upon them.

During WW-II, Hitler ordered Goering to in turn order his Luftwaffe pilots and crew NEVER to shoot at an enemy on parachute or shoot at an airplane that had it's landing gear down or indicated otherwise that the crew had surrendered.

My dad once told me of a story where a German fighter plane surrendered and was flying in formation with American B-24 bombers, being escorted into Allied territory as a POW. The particular bomb group had a distinctive tail color and everyone recognized them.

Well, one of the B-24 waist gunners shot at the German fighter and set him on fire. He followed the out-of-control airplane with his .50 cal as far as he could, until it exploded. The pilot never bailed out.

Anyway, word got back to Germany what happened and from then on, the Luftwaffe would actually ignore bomber groups just to concentrate all their fire on the "bad" bomb group (the one who shot down the surrendered airplane).

Their losses were so high that the Allies had to disband the group and change the tail markings of the few B-24 bombers that survived the revenge attacks.

Hitler sent a stern warning to the United States saying that if things like this were going to happen, he could play the game too... even with POW's in camps.

Needless to say, EXTREMELY strict orders came down from on high threatening all kinds of death and destruction to anyone who ever did that again.

Where there's terrorists you'll find the obama regime arming and funding them. I side with Russia on this one. i don't care if most of their targets are the so called rebels.......His plan to install "democracy" with the worst of the worst in Libya and Egypt worked so well didn't it? at least the Egyptian military was smart enough to know the real enemy and took action against Obamas strenuous actions. I read China is joining Russia now in the airstrikes, good for them too. I never thought I'd see the day where I'm cheering a KGB thug and a chicom country and disgusted with a foreign national muslim "president" of the US.

Has anybody else had this thought? I didn't see it elsewhere, but, could this be the opening salvos of World War 3?

Helen Keller had a similar thought in Post #12.

Well, Putin does have a lot going for him right now; turmoil in ME, a weak US President, and other countries allying themselves with Russia to fight out ISIS. It's up to him where this goes.

In other news, Turkey is blocking the Dardanelles to Russian ships so Russia has no access from the black sea ports to Syria.
Britain has begun bombing operations in Syria.
Ukraine shut off power to Crimea, Russia shut off gas to Ukraine.
Ukraine and Russia massing men and armor in Eastern Ukraine.
    WW3 still an impossibility.
