So what is the BEST budget amm0 you can recommend?

I'm beginning to see some deals on .223, 7.62x39, 9mm and .308. Was thinking about some of Sportsmans Guide specials. Any thoughts on brands of ammo to AVOID? Any recommendations on any budget blasting ammo (not the high end primo stuff)

    Any input is appreciated

I have had nothing but problems with Tula .223. If the shell does eject, it is stone cold indicating it was very lightly loaded. I never had feed problems with either my SAR-3 or Norinco 84S-1 until I used the Tula .223. Because of the shape of the .223/5.56x45 shell, I also avoid the current fad of polymer coated rounds, as the polymer when it heats up transfers a little plastic at a time to the chamber, eventually gluing an empty in the chamber and requiring a cleaning rod to knock it out.

Have had good luck with the Wolf Gold and all the Bears. Also have had good luck with Aguilla .223.

7.62x39 and 5.45x39 are fine for the Russian steel cased. I like PPU Privi Partisan for brass cased. The SS109 (5.56x45) is excellent and shoots very well in all of my ARs. Their pistol ammo is also very good.

Wolf Gold looks good. Wolf steel cased = crap. I also think the Silver or Brown Bear is OK blaster grade stuff.

I like American Eagle and Remington UMC for 9mm and .45ACP. I found some .223 PMC bronze a while back that was about .15 a round and bought a bunch of it and like it a lot. Unfortunately, PMC Bronze is a pricier ammo when it is not on sale! I know a lot of people like the Russian stuff, but I personally do not. It has always fired for me but it is very dirty.

gunbot.net is where I look for ammo

    I recently bought 5k of .22 from

    https://www.slickguns.com/category/ammo?caliber=3
    http://www.ammosupplywarehouse.com/p...00-rdcase.html

Should be here on the 13th. Didn't really need it, but spent some Christmas money.

Other than that. For as little shooting as I do now a days. I am set for life on ammo. Now when I buy it. It is for my children.
