just at the $1000 price tag.. with the 100,000 they say they'll have.

The price is about where I expected, especially if this is the price for a service grade pistol. If they have been refurbished by CMP I am still in the market. To have a shootable 1911 that says US Government Issue on it is pretty cool. From what I have seen at gun shows the price, while high is not out of line. I am still saving up for one. If I get one it will go well with the Garand and the Carbine that I already have.
