1 comment blames republicans in some kind of incoherent way
and the others blame the union. Need I say more.
But it is sad and makes me wonder.

I am trying to understand how any ammunition maker could be having such a bad time in the current climate that they can justify laying off workers.

Oh wait, they said they made a slight profit above what was expected. Yep, greed, plain and simple.

I can't say greed if they are putting the rest on overtime.
My thinking is it is some type of reg.(fed or state) or the ACA that is
pushing this plus you cannot rule out automation.

Even if it wasn't a gun related industry they would be celebrating as this will likely push more people onto government assistance. Wouldn't want to elect a conservative who may cut your government assistance.

Hmmmm... I pay $1/ round for 12 guage slugs, and they can't afford to pay their employees? Something screwy here...

If they'd turn their attention to making .22 RF, they wouldn't need to let these people go. There's still a lot of places that aren't being supplied with .22's. There's a need and someone needs to supply that need.

Unfortunately you can't just stop making center fire ammo and switch to rimfire. Completely different process with different machinery. They'd have to spend big bucks to retool which would wipe out any profits and probably put them in the negative work quite some time. Lots of companies experience layoffs, I've been through it more than once over the last 30+ years.

Typical, Dems control that state for 40 years and one of the dumb-asses blames Republicans for the job loss. Some people are so stupid!
