Affordable .50 BMG upper for your AR

Another .50 BMG option for us middle-class folk... This one is bolt-action upper that mounts to an AR15 lower. It can be had in single shot ($1450) or side-mount magazine-fed ($1850).

What the hell what that would feel like to shoot?

Your shoulder would, probably, be doing a lot of bitching about it.

If you have any bones, or joints in your shoulder area, that are locked up, shooting one of these should loosen it up a little.

12 ga. 3" magnums or maybe a 10 ga. The 29" is the only one I would consider. You will have a very slow bullet out of those shorter barrels and an enormous muzzle blast with most of the powder buring in the air in front of it.

the mag fed model has been on my wish list for a very long time now. (currently have a zel custom single shot)

i forget what brand the other one i was looking at was, but it was a few $$ cheaper. the difference being the safe harbor mags were MUCH cheaper, wheras if i boutght the chepaer one and 2 spare mags it would have been more than the safe harbor with 2 spares.

finally paid off my truck last year and am getting caught up on lots of other things, but this might be soon now......

its not that bad. worst thing i ever shot was 3.5" 12ga turkey loads. the 50 is MUCH milder than that. i have a video of an 80lb girl shooting one. dont be a pussy. (ill see if i can find it and upload it to youtube to post here)

+1 on the 3.5" magnum 12ga rounds. That is the one thing I've ever shot that absolutely sucked to shoot.
