A breakdown of what Nevada is up against.

I know you guys in NV. know of this and I imagine all of us
should be concerned about the new tactic.

The tactic is to spend a bunch of money, hide what the bill actually entails, and try to hide where the money for this gun control legislation is coming from. In Washington the money came from about 4 people, Bloomberg and Gates both donating over a million each. The article you posted states that Bloomberg only donated about $450,000 but that does not take into account what he donated through Everytown which put his total outlay to over $2 million. In fact, when you get right down to it, if the 4 rich donors had not given any money they could not have mounted any kind of campaign. On the other side, the side that fought against the universal background check bill, all donations were from normal people and they were able to fund a couple of adds and flyers. In Washington the bill was decided by people who did not bother to research, saw one of the many Bloomberg sponsored adds, and voted based on the title (Washington Universal Background Checks for Gun Purchases) based on what was actually in the initiative (you can't even let someone else shoot your gun at a range without initiating a transfer).

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Here is a critique of the effects of I-594 (as it is normally called in Washington). As expected it has been a failure at reducing crime but it has been an unmitigated success at making life harder for law abiding gun owners. Actually, the success is in that the law is so difficult to follow that it has made more law abiding gun owners law breakers, which I think was its actual goal.

That is the whole goal. It is backdoor registration and it happened so fast that
I believe it took a lot of people by surprise. That is why I posted the article.
