In the process of trading in my VW Golf for a Ford Ranger

I have always owned trucks. Chev Silverado, Dodge Ram, then a posting to British Columbia landed me in a 2009 VW Golf. It suited me well out there but since i have been home i have been cursing it. I got stuck in a muddy field two days ago when i was test firing that SMLE. Took a lot of work to get it out. Nearly blew her up in the process. So i went shopping today. Found a 2010 Ford Ranger that is 4litre, 6 cylinder, Automatic and 4 wheel drive. They gave me a really good trade in deal for the VW even with it covered in cow shit inside and out. I get to pick it up on Monday or Tuesday. It is a smaller truck then the 150 size i use to go for but this will be just dandy. If only they had a spot to mount a CB radio like they use to.

    Here are some pics.

Yes, the Ford rebranded Isuzu pickups are pretty decent, at least they used to be.

I understand your desire to go back to a pickup. A change in housing and employment forced me to switch from my 1993 GMC Sierra 1500 (350 2WD) to a 2012 Kia Rio "5 door", and I do miss driving something with some ass to it.

Pretty sure. Al least what i thought i was getting. I looked in the inside of the door to see if it was made in Canada or US and I saw American scribblings.

You are correct. Looks like you got the last year of US production.

On December 22, 2011, the last USA-built Ranger rolled off the St. Paul, Minnesota assembly line.[1]

I just got rid of my 01 last year.

I thought it was the same truck as the Mazda B series.

But Ford made them for Mazda. Not the other way around. Quit trying to say my truck is a jap.

Picked up the truck today. I love it. Got to drive it home in a blizzard, the 4 wheel drive allowed me to roll right past people in cars not going anywhere.

I have a double cab 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD. I love the thing. Like your Ranger, it owns the snow (what little we have). Off-road, I can keep up with the slightly modified Jeeps. Reliability......rock solid. Congrats on your new Ranger.
