    Some pics of my HMMWV

Anybody seen linx310 anywhere? That F'er got me hooked.....

Got around to installing two antennas and one bracket, I had a goal of replacing the glow plugs too, but damn it was cold here and I'd rather be in drinking on the one day I drink.

If you can tilt those antennas to horizontal you'll get better nvis coverage. Of course it's a good idea to do this while stationary.

That's just preliminary, I plan on pulling them both down.

That's a great-looking HMMWV. In fact, it is in outstanding shape. You got lucky with the winch.

Yeah buddy! It was listed as a 998, but I noticed the winch in a pic or two and the data plate indicating a M1038. I had to contact govplanet to change it on the paperwork ect after I won it. Bonus, the winch works, cable looks brand new, it came with the winch controls in the box which I didn't expect! Thanks!

Nice! Drove one just like that in the SC Army National Guard around 1994 acting as the Battalion CO's driver on drill weekends. Slept in the driver's seat several nights.

On the scale of "military hardcore" I realize I am about nowhere but hey, it's all I got!

Nice. But for sure too cold for me, when I see snow squished to ice. No, Nope, Nada.

No, I've got the bottom tray for a radio but need the top part and either make or buy the mounting attachments.....I don't see a radio anytime in the near future..SINCGARS go for $$$$ I'm hoping to find a dummy somewhere. Or maybe an older type set that was in the hmmwv's at one point. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your service! Can't imagine doing that today! Wouldn't be able to move in the morning....

Thanks everyone! I always wanted a HUMVEE, now well see how much it's going to cost to maintain.

A bunch of the engine parts interchange with the civilian 6.2L engine, so some stuff you can get at generic auto parts stores. I know this because I have an old Suburban with a 6.2L and I have used various parts (with permission, of course) from junked HMMWVs on base.
