That's awesome. I've thought about getting one. I hear the Silencer Shop commercials on daytime radio. I'm still thinking. The tax is what, $200.00?

Yes $200. I went with a trust fund which added another $150.00.

Just curious, what do you need to do to set up the trust? What is the benefit?

    Thanks

Very cool. One of these days I will get into the quiet world. How did you decide on this particular suppressor?

Is that the .45 ACP one? I hear they are "ear safe".

My local shop works with a lawyer out of FL. With the trust you don't have to do the finger prints or get your local law enforcement to sign off on it. It Also allows you to pass it down in the family when you die without them having to go through the BS.

Yes, that is the 45. Very ear safe even indoors. I got the 45 so I can get adapters so I can use it on all my other hand guns. The engineers did a good job designing this unit. After you screw it in you can rotate it by pulling a lever so it aligns with the sights.

This thread has gotten me off my ass. Waiting for my trust paperwork to be finalized now. The same suppressor will be my first buy.

Now trying to decide if I want to go the sbr route, looking it up, the lower is only good for one upper, caliber and length specific. So I could get an sbr lower and then swap uppers with different calibers.

You better hurry HBS. ATF 41F officially starts July 13th 2016. Max those cards out.

Be grateful you can get them where you live. They aren't allowed in Illinois.

Sherman, is this ATF 41F for ALL NFA items and Form 1s or just suppressors?
If I want to SBR another rifle does this apply?
