I really can't say about the glasses but for me it has
always been hit or miss with majorsurplus.
To the point I, personally, wrote them off.

IMO, too good. Probably cheap Chinese crap. You will get what you pay for in optics is my 2 cents.

I have 3 pairs of binos, all made in China. Two of them are small, pocket binos and one is regular sized. I've had good luck with them so far. All show a crisp, clear picture of what you're looking at, are are easy to focus. Don't know how they would stand up in stormy weather, as I've only used them on non-rainy days, but, like I said, no problems so far.

The only ones I've ever had trouble with are the ones made in Japan. They were nothing but junk.

Local surplus store called "Princess Auto" had a sale on these last year and most of them were misaligned to the point of looking off when you pick them up. The outward lenses looking really cross-eyed. If i could hand select my own pair i might be onboard with them but if someone else is picking one for me and they are being mailed then absolutely would not buy.

I have been using a pair of German surplus binoculars for a few years now and will never go back. Just minty....

    This exact pair.

My local John Deere store carries these ones which are the new made version of the surplus ones. As far as i can tell they are the same binoculars. Except the new ones are $500 and the surplus ones are $99
