Its on HBO, I don't pay for premium channels. I watched maybe 1 episode just after getting Direct TV satellite. Had the premium channels open for 3 months. God what a pile of shit they all were. Anyway back to the GOT episode I watched. It didn't catch my interest at all. It ended with a wedding where everybody got murdered.
You saw the Red Wedding episode. You needed to see all the episodes in order to make sense of any of it. None of the episodes can stand alone and make much sense by themselves.
I, seldom, watch anything that is a series on TV, but GOT caught my interest and I've been hooked ever since. GOT is the only reason I have the Premium Channels. Not much else on them other than that.

I've got a home media server (a Linux based RAID6 storage box) with all of our stuff on it (ripped DVD and BD, torrented movies and TV shows, all our photos and movies, etc...)
My older son torrents all the G.O.T. episodes to it.
