    I'm in a delima ... which stock?

I already have both, so that's not a concern

When I got my form 1 for the M85 PAP (223) I put the Manticore triangle Stock on it with a ACE push button hinge ... and was planning to do the same on the M92 PAP (7.62x39) but while browsing GunBroker (a place I shouldn't go, but that's my porn shop), I came across a VZ58 with a folder, and while I don't really care for the gun itself, I do like the stock ... and I found a used one for $75 ($10 was shipping) ... anyway it got here today and now I can't decide. They're both the same length so that won't matter on my form 1 ... while waiting on my stamp I had picked up a Century Arm Brace for it, then when my stamp got here I removed the pistol tube and used an adapter, push-button hinge put on my 2nd triangle stock until I could get the receiver drilled for "permanent" installation but now, I don't know which way to go!

So ... will the Brain Trust here at "The Guns Network" help me to decide?

This is my M85 ... the M92 could look just like it

This is the M92 with the VZ-58 stock sitting up aginn it ...

Either way I go, the rear trunnion will have to be drilled, so that's not a concern either. (the Arm-Brace is good for what it is, but I have no intention on permanently installing either stock on that)

I don't know what the original triangle lock-up is like but the ACE push button hinge is very solid.

The one thing I don't really like about the triangle is it's held on with four 3/16"(?) bolts ... 2 from the stock to the hinge and 2 from the hinge to the trunnion ... The VZ doesn't need a separate hinge and just has a locating notch and one big 10mm(?) bolt ... The VZ's's mounting seems much more solid but both use a similar locking key and I believe both keys are steel.

Another thing, they both seem to weigh about the same ... the triangle stock is made from aluminum 1/2round stock while the VZ is steel and more like an I-beam , but it could be wrapped with para cord ... over all I think the triangle would be more comfortable.

triangle has push button, and a lock on the forward trunnion and folds to the left.

Never used either, but the ACE mounting hardware is universal and would give you access to a wide variety of stock types in case you decide to change in the future.

The ACE is reversible but I have it folding to the right (same as the charge handle) so if I want to sling it folded I have one flat side to be against my back.

I'd go with the ACE just because it would give a better cheek weld than the wire like stock.

I had a VZ58 with a folder for a bit and thought the stock sucked.
