How Our Government Protects our Service Members

I just walked past the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps recruiting offices. Apparently in response to the recent attacks on recruiting offices there are now signs posted at the offices stating that weapons are not allowed and it is a violation of federal law to bring a weapon into a recruiting office. It must make the Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines feel much safer knowing that sign is posted telling criminals that they cannot take a weapon into the recruiting office. The other thing it may do is remind the Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines that they are being denied the right to keep and bear arms. I am hoping it is the latter and that reminder will affect how they and their families vote in the upcoming elections.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

It kills me that the military has no issues letting me load up a truck with belt fed machine guns and ammo, or a truck full of high explosives, and I can drive all over the place, and then be the lead supervisor and instructor while using those items, not even mentioning everything else I am trusted to handle and do. But if I have my personal ccw weapon on me or in my vehicle it instantly transforms me into an immature, untrustworthy, over reacting moron, undeserving of even the smallest modicum of trust.

Pretty sad isn't it when those trained in the use of weapons are not allowed them for self defense while in service to the great yet hateful country.

I am trusted with multiple nuclear reactors at a time but I am not trusted to carry my 9mm on a military installation. It makes not sense.

Do like we all do: Carry anyway. It's concealed. If you don't need it, nobody will know. If you DO need it... well it's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

    Very well spoken.

that's right. we go to a certain restaurant that has a sign that says: no guns allowed. she asked me about it. my reply was: i don't read signs, nor do criminals.

I suspect it'll get to the point where they carry anyway.
