    LOL

    Seriously.

George Zimmerman shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012. Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter, then acquitted by a Florida jury on July 13, 2013. The case sparked a nationwide debate and protests over “stand your ground” laws and race relations in the United States.

Now, Zimmerman is auctioning off the 9-millimeter pistol he used to kill Martin on a website called GunBroker.com.

10 years from now the Smith will want is as BLM is now the governing/over keeper, of black/white morals,
and that gun could be used to show how whites started killing blacks for waking
    up in the morning.

He moved it to a different auction site (don't know the name) as Gunbroker could not handle the traffic generated by this gun (at least that what I heard on two different news reports.)

One the two stories I heard said he wanted to get rid of the gun because of the memories attached to it. The story also reported that he was going to take the proceeds and give them to a charity that had to do with keeping kids off the street or something like that. I haven't read any stories, though, so I may have heard wrong.

The kid had it coming. That simple. Zim may be a dumbass, but I do not believe for a second he was being racist or that out of line. Now, if I had to draw down on someone with my CCW and kill them, I might always appreciate that the gun did not fail me, and might have a connection to the gun for saving my ass. But, selling it to make money? If he just wanted to sell it, to get away from the memories, then he would let it go for what its worth. What, $3-400? Or, take it to a police buy back as much as I hate to say that. Then it will be destroyed anyway. Or have a friend take it to a gun show and sell it. He is trying to capitalize on a murder weapon, and thats not really cool.
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

lol, no, he was giving a portion of the proceeded to an anti-black lives matter group.

and if the gun holds too many bad memories ...well.....

Prospective bidders, I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012. The gun is a Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm. ....Many have expressed interest in owning and displaying the firearm including The Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. This is a piece of American History. It has been featured in several publications and in current University text books.....
dosent sound like a man whos ashamed of what hes done and is just trying to get rid of bad memories. and if that was the case, he wouldnt have started the auction at $5k

That is pretty funny! What is funnier is one of the two stories I heard was from NPR. If any news organization was going to try to spin that in a negative way (and it appears it would not be too hard!) it would have been NPR.
