Sometimes i feel like a complete moron.

I have a Navy qualification board today at work. I pressed my uniform. Everything is just dandy. Got up this morning at 0330 showered, got dressed and left the house for work. about a 40 minute drive to work. Here I am sitting at my desk catching up on the mornings updates. I think to myself "these boots feel good on my feet this morning" I wheel my chair back from my desk and look down at my feet.

Now I am wondering how I am going to pull this off.

I am having a mini panic attack. I hope they don't notice.

I don't have enough time to drive home and get the correct ones.

    Wish me luck.

This is what I ended up doing. My board was delayed. Due to an act of god. Its is after lunch now. So I ran to our clothing stores. We do it differently in Canada. Everyone gets issued for free two sets of boots and when a set gets word out you take them in and trade them for a new pair. Well luckily I know a lot of people and the guy working the counter this morning helped me out and passed me a pair of boots. So I am good now. I owe him a coffee and donut from tim hortons now.

Glad that you got the right uniform stuff. Good luck on the board!

Once a long time ago when I was a senior enlisted sailor I was invited by the Group Master Chief, whom I had served with previously, to come take a look at where he worked (a submarine group). I thought this would be pretty cool so I put on my dress khakis and went over. While there I was being introduced to the Chief of Staff who was the senior CAPT (equivalent rank of a Colonel in the other services) assigned to the Submarine Group Admirals staff. We talked for a couple of minutes and then he asked me my rank. I thought this was strange but decided he wanted to know my rate so I told him I was an Electrician's Mate. He asked again my rank so I looked where my Senior Chief anchors were supposed to be and they were not there! Quite embarrassing! I also made a quick visit to the uniform shop, which luckily was within walking distance, before continuing the tour!

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!
