    My Remington 1100 transformation.

As you all know i recently picked up a well worn 1100 in trade. Well i have since acquired a 28 inch vent rib barrel that was split at the end from being fired with snow in it (Free) Taken it to my gunsmith and had it cut back to 22 inches and shaped similarly to the Competition master barrel ($25) I will now be taking it to have removable Remchokes installed. My goal is to have it looking like the Remington 1100 Competition Master. (Discontinued and very hard to find around here)

This is what a competition master looks like. (My end Goal)

Here is what i have so far.

Once the remchoke is installed i will be hacking the barrel and receiver cleaned and coated to look like the above pics.

I will post updates as i get around to doing it.

Since its the same one that goes on a Rem 870 the answer is yes. Just not sure about using it to hunt. Since Farm work is technically not hunting. I should be fine.

I like your end goal. "Combat" shotguns are a ton of fun and get overlooked in the US now that AR fever hit several years ago. I intend to take my 590 out next week along with about 150 shells of mixed types.

That sounds like a great project. Step-by-step photos of this would be interesting to see.

Oh, are you going to customize those socks, too? They look pretty tactical so far....

AWE, you should aspire to building this, like I did.

    Hahahahahaha
Those yours would hold a couple more shells than mine.

That is a pretty cool project. When you posted that you got that I was going to recommend buying a new barrel for it, though I would not have thought to get a long broken barrel and have it cut back to a short barrel. Not quite the same but I have an 870 Wingmaster with a 30" barrel that I use for hunting and I bought a 20" slug barrel that I keep on it for home defense. I haven't added an extended magazine like you will but for what I want it is a quick swap.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!
