Unhappy Well guys things are tough out here...

Been a while since I've posted as I've basically been fighting for my financial life and haven't had much time to do anything else.

I've been trying any job that I can get (all full commission sales) with poor results. Just started another one only to finish training and be told that "July and August are really slow".... oh fuck me.

I'm keeping the faith though and am once again looking outside of my current state - Texas and have three apps in for jobs I'm eminently qualified for... this will require moving and renting and carrying the mortgage and land payment at the same time but these jobs would pay enough to do that and give me more time to sell... Wish me luck!! Or say a prayer.

    Hope ya'll are doing better!!!!

You have both my prayers and wishes of luck my good internet friend!

While I don't know how old you are, and I hope this helps you keep your hopes up, but my father was 44 before he found the job he stayed with until retirement. Sucked when I was a kid, but what he finally got was amazing.

    Best of luck!!!!!!

Keep that head held high. You will find something sooner or later - usually when you least expect it! As an example, my wife got her job simply by accompanying her mother to a doctor's appointment - the doc found out my wife was an unemployed certified physician assistant and he happened to be looking to hire a PA. She's now a practicing physician assistant at that same office and loves it.

Different lines of work I'm sure, but I know the struggle. I know it very well. I've been having trouble trying to find a job that pays worth half a damn since February. Good luck bud.

I do have a friend that is retiring from the company we work for and starting his business up again. Dirt/sand pit, civil material hauling, construction site prep, minor road work, etc. (he is talking about doing aerobic systems also). He is putting five dumps on the road and has only two drivers.

Could work into an outside sales job also.

    Location is deep east Texas.

Thanks guys. While I would gladly take a driving job I am going to have to have enough income to cover my mortgage and land payment here and still allow for a rental there... plus I have other expenses. That means I need a pretty good salary.

I do have applications in at 6 different places now for jobs that will do that. I just need them to interview me! That's been the hard thing.

I'm sure being in MS and having to move is another thing giving them pause... but again, I'm keeping at it! Applied for another one this morning.

    Good luck O.S.O.K.!
Last year, a friend of mine moved from Illinois to TX for several reasons. While he has a job, it isn't in his field of education and experience. But that's better than what he had here.
    Hang in there!
