The firemen have a scary ass robot called the Mechanical Hound. It knows your scent, and it has a poisonous tongue which can be used to kill a dissident. I was reminded of it when I heard the Dallas shooter was killed by a robot.

Absolutely hated it. Hated the old 60s movie even more. 1984 way better. Just thought it was stupid.
"What sick, barbaric bastards.
It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?
Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "
So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....
Imagine these things chasing you;
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
In the future, combat will be between nerds alone.
Who has the nerdiest battlebot?
Only the geekiest will survive.

This is why we need AP rounds....
"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
have an original copy here, read it over winter.

I had the misfortune of reading it many many moons ago. Perhaps I would find if more interesting now but I didn't like it at the time and have no interest in reading it again. As well I read 1984. I didn't like that one either though a bit more relevant with smart phones and such in this day and age.
Doobie Doobie Doo..
No but I remember the German leading Actor in the 1965 British Movie. Oskar Werner, He must have been raised in England, He spoke with a British Accent. Plus the scene in the beginning of the Movie is laughable! The sharp looking Fire truck is racing down the Road at least doing 60 MPH. and all the Firemen are standing at Parade Rest, holding onto Nothing. I recall saying one Bump and the would all fall off it. Plus that Pink VW Bug driving by those little small Houses putting out the APB was also funny. I don't know how close the Movie was to the Book, but it was too dark and weird for me. However the Ending was well done, I recall reading on the Last day of Filming where they are walking around with the Books reading trying to stay Warm, The Snow came down on its own, and made a great Ending.
