Just recevied my MINI 14 from Accuracy Systems today .

Took about 1.5 months to get her back but man Im totally happy with it !!! Bought it brand new a few months ago but wanted to trick it out a bit

Heres some of the things I had done

    1. Trigger job set from factory 7lbs down to 3.5
    2. .045 bushing kit and extra power guide spring and shock buffer
    3. Had the barrel cut to 16.5" and re-crowned and front sight moved back
    4. Threaded muzzle and A2 flash hider installed
    5. Bone Grey Revolution stock with 3 point bedding system.

There is one of the allen bolts that is part of 3 point bedding system .The stock is drilled and filled with epoxy the receiver is machined

Another pic of the bed system and the other bolt is up near the charging handle but hidden. This thing is rock solid

    How has the accuracy improved?

That's a good looking Mini you have there.

Did you want a black site on the front?

All of the Post 580 Mini 14s have black front sights, even the Stainless models. The factory doesn't make SS sights. The only way for him to get Stainless sights is to have an aftermarket one custom made (since the only existing aftermarket sights are attached to aftermarket muzzle brakes)

Nice catch - I didn't notice that. Probably does a better job than the electrical tape that I use when mounting scopes.

Thats the original sight . My MINI came with a non threaded barrel so they just moved the sight back and threaded it

Burris Signature rings with the plastic inserts that keep the scope tight so theres is virtually 0 movement and also keeps the scope from getting marred up

I always liked the looks of the mini. I want to like them so bad, but based on what little experience I have had shooting my friends' and what I see accross the interwebs, they just ain't that great. How accurate is yours? My buddy Dustin's factory mini shoots patterns at 50 yards rather than groups.
