Yeah and the s...storm of comments on the yt video are quite annoying.
Very proud!
"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
WVU shooter and new Olympic gold medalist Ginny Thrasher's medal bonus will increase from $55K if U.S. shooting team wins more medals in Rio
I didn't know they won money for medals, is some thing new?
Remember the Girl who Won Gold With Shotgun, about 15 Years ago? She was on the Cover of American Rifleman. The Media tried to shun her. Also why are all these Small Caliber Gun Events? Are there any Olympic Event for 7.62NATO, or .308 Winchester, 8mm Mauser. I see nothing but small Calibers such as 22LR, also her Name is short for Virginia!

Yeah I haven't looked for them but assumed there would be plenty of the rhetoric out there
Just a guess but I'm thinking there's a lot less wiggle room with the smaller stuff and in the winter games while skiing trying to keep steady breathing and all
I don't think I'd do well at all these days.
Maybe that's why I like trap with a 12 ga

All Olympic events for rifle are for .22 LR. Why because it's a lot easier to build a range to handle .22 LR vs. 308 / 7.62 NATO. They use acoustic target systems tied in with computers since Barcelona Spain's summer Olympics back in the 1990's. In the old days they shot paper targets which then had to be pulled and scored, so it was a very boring sport from a spectator point of view. Hours if not a day might pass before scores were done and winners declared. With the virtual sound based targets the scores roll up instantly so spectators can view who is in the lead after each round fired. More like a horse race for excitement since these were implemented.
