That is just silly expensive.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.
Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

Though I completely understand the historic cinematic collector value of this piece, for that price you can get a working M-16 and M203..
Instead of a non-firing thing.

That's a FAKE M16. I've handled that gun and I know the guy who sold it to "Golden Closet" That was one of three FAKE M203 grenade launchers built from scratch to fire fake grenades for movies. The M16A1 is a parts kit built on a fake aluminum blank. SO you're not even buying a working rifles, just a dummy. The Fake M203 also only fires proprietary 37mm flash charges that imitate firing a projectile.
So you have a mocked up of an M203 that's not really close to the real thing, AND you have it on a FAKE m16 that doesn't fire. The price is fucking ridiculous. Only the faux M203 was in the movie. The original M16 was sold by Stembridge arms to a Class III dealer in Colorado decades ago and now it's in the hands of a private collector.
Also for sale is the SPAS-12 from Terminator for $20,000. It is real but modified to fire blanks only. For that price I'd rather buy 10 functional SPAS-12s.
The pen is mightier than the sword, but only when you're shoving it through your enemy's throat.
