    Any pre-election purchases?

Anyone picking up firearm-related purchases now that you would have otherwise held off on if we didn't have a risk of Killery becoming dictator?

I'm guilty of working on an AR pistol build. It's one of those things that's been on my bucket list but this election encouraged me to pick up all the necessary parts now before another panic sweeps in and dries up inventory.

I blew my wad earlier this year. 4 cans, 2 sbr stamps, Adams arms 308 piston ar, sig 9mm mpx, and a couple vortex viper pst ffp scopes. Still need to build a bolt action 300 win mag, but don't feel any pressure on that one since it's a fudd gun.

This is a Catch 22. Most of the things you listed are registered with the Fed. Hitlery will know where to find them. On the other hand, it's the only way you could be legal with those purchases.

    Like I said, Catch 22.

I don't think the juice is there for confiscation. But making it near impossible or shutting down the process to acquire is

Bishop, where did you pickup the 110 rnd. drums for the 10/22?

There is a lot of stuff I need to square things away, but the only things I really really need are .308 pmags and .308 ammo, but I'm too broke and it's too late for that now.

    Also I need M1a magazines.

This is what happens when you buy several guns in a row without squaring any of them away before moving on to a new one.

Saw them at a gun show a few months ago.....

    GSG makes a 110rd 22 drum with a 10/22 adapter.
Today I found that JGSales has a pretty low price on them.
My total including shipping was $130 and change for 2.

    http://www.jgsales.com/german-sport-...k-p-69486.html

    Compare at $69. on gunbroker.

    Thanks for the info.

The feed lips look to be molded plastic. How well do they hold up, over time and use, in the 10/22 style mag?

I don't know that answer. The only other 10/22 mags that had the plastic feed lips were the Ramline but those were really cheap plastic that chipped quickly. If these are a better plastic they it could last much longer. I'm surprised its not a metal insert like everybody else uses.

I'll let you know when they come in next week.

    So true.

If I had a crap load of money laying around I'd purchase 30 round AR15 magazines, like Magpul Gen 2 Moe mags just to put back as an investment. Every time a Democrap gets elected shit spikes in price.

From the talk I heard at the local shop today high caps are the hot item right now

I picked up some 45lc 22's and some 12 ga 7 1/2 Estate brand. I've never heard the name thought I'd give them a try
Oh since I was there I picked up an Eagle Arms AR but I hit a bump on the bridge and it fell in the river on the way home

If you need something - then by all means buy now. But beware, the prices have already started to climb....

I'm set and have been for some time. I could use some more pistol rounds but I'll be fine. Pistols are secondary armament anyway...

Estate shells are fine, light hunting/clay bird loads. The really good thing is they are pretty reasonable in price, too.
