    McCarran-Walter Act of 1952

I have not seen this here, hopefully it is fresh info.

Wouldn't it be interesting if, at some point during his Presidential term, Donald Trump asked, "Oh, by the way, has anyone in Washington DC ever heard of the McCarran-Walter Act Of 1952”?

We knew of this Act, but had forgotten it until recently; it has been a law for almost 65 years.

Here are the historic facts that would seem to indicate that many of the people we elect to work for us in Washington DC, DO NOT have the slightest idea of what laws already exist in OUR country.

After several terrorist incidents were carried out in the United States, Donald Trump was severely, criticized for suggesting that the U.S. should limit or temporarily suspend the immigration of certain ethnic groups, nationalities, and even people of certain religions (Muslims). The criticisms condemned such a suggestion as, among other things, being un-American, dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous and racist. Congressmen and Senators swore that they would never allow such legislation, and our current President called such a prohibition on immigration "unconstitutional".

As Gomer Pyle would say, “Well, Surprise, Surprise!” It seems that the selective immigration ban is already law and has been applied on several occasions.

Known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the "Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by the President, whenever the President finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States. The President may, by proclamation, and for such a period as he shall deem necessary, may suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose any restrictions on the entry of aliens he may deem to be appropriate.”

And who do you suppose last utilized this process? Why it was Democrat President Jimmy Carter, no less than 37 years ago, in 1979, to keep Iranians out of the United States.

But he actually did more. He made ALL Iranian students, already in the United States, check in with the government. And then he deported a bunch of them. Seven thousand were found in violation of their visas, and a total of 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the USA in 1979.

So, what say you about all of the criticism that Donald Trump received from the Democrat Senators, Representatives and Obama?

Additionally, it is important to note that the McCarran-Walter Act also requires that an “applicant for immigration must be of good moral character and be in agreement with the principles of our Constitution.”

Therefore, one could surmise that since the Quran forbids Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, technically, ALL Muslims should be refused immigration to OUR country.

Based on this law, it would, then, be legal to seek out ALL muslims and ask them to swear allegiance to the Constitution and America? If they refuse, then they are subject to immediate deportation?

    Love it.

It's time to awaken all our Congress Critters to this "forgotten" law. And, then the Dims start attacking it, be sure to point out that Carter used this during this tenure and no one objected then.

This law underscores our commitment to national security; something Obama, Hitlery, and most Dimocrats couldn't care less about.

It sounds like this law was created when our Congress Critters still had some common sense. Even with the Republicans in control of our government, now, I doubt a law like this would ever pass. There'd still be too much opposition, especially from the Left.

Does anybody actually think the newsless media would bring this up? They would rather lie about Trump not having the power to do anything he wants.

I doubt that will make any difference to Trump. At the very least, he can just pull an Obama and write an EO to take care of things. Then, when the Controlled Media starts condemning him, he can just say that he's following Obama's lead.

Not all Muslims, only those who are not citizens. The only people with a right to be here are citizens, no matter what their religion. Everyone else is a visitor or a trespasser. Visitors can be asked to leave and escorted out when they stop acting as good visitors or their families stop acting as good visitors and trespassers are breaking the law and should be removed.

Islam is not a religion. It is an oppressive cult of subjugation and terror.

Anyone who is truly a muslim (i.e. follows the koran and mohammed) is a dangerous terrorist who should at the very least be instantly deported if not outright executed.

We cannot allow "muslims" into our Country willy-nilly and wait for them to commit mass murder before we say "oh dear, a bad one... better deport him".

They've already stated that they hate America and that we are their "enemy" and their goal is to convert us or kill us, so WHY in God's Name would we allow them across our border?

Not all Muslims are immigrants, some were born here. If we start deporting citizens, no matter how they got their citizenship, we are violating the Constitution. I don't have a problem with controlling immigration and visitation visas based on any criteria (race, religion, sexual orientation, being left handed, having red hair (that ones for you to keep this sort of light!), etc) but if they are a citizen of the US their legal status and their relationship to the Constitution changes. If we want to think about amending the Constitution to allow removal of citizenship as a punishment, that might be a good idea. What we have now, however, does not allow us to deport citizens but it does allow us to remove visitors and trespassers, and we need to start doing that (to the visitors who wish, or may wish, to do us harm and to the trespassers). We also need to stop granting birthright citizenship, but that is a different, though related, subject.
