More fake news. This story ignores the testimony of the officer charged and the evidence that Mr. Scott had wrestled with the officer and gotten control of the officer's tazer, which he then (according to the officer and I think the video backed up) pointed at the officer. To ignore this and to still say that Mr. Scott was unarmed is to spread misinformation. Mr. Scott was unarmed when he initially ran from the traffic stop but when he took possession of the officer's tazer he was no longer unarmed. And to ignore that shows that the NY Times is more interested in pushing for a particular outcome than about reporting facts.
