Yeah... who the fuck are they to come into OUR Country and act like that?

On another note... I've seen Mt. Rushmore. It's quite impressive, and even more so when you realize that a 6 foot tall person can stand in the pupil of an eye and have a foot of clearance above his head!

B-47E on display at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum.

Of the 2,032 B-47s built only 23 still survive.

I would definitely call those transitional.

The B-47's most notable contribution to future planes was the use of pylons to mount the engines under the wings in pods. Prior to this engines were mounted in the wings.

This engine configuration is still used in many of todays large jets.

With the exception of the shoulder mounted wings, this was the protoype for all large jets of the future.

I was talking more of the look. Bomber with the looks of a fighter or the other way around.
What catches my eye is the cockpit. With the markings on the nose it reminds me of the F 86
    Sabre.

Yeah it does have that typical '50s jet look.

Was it the 47, or was it the B-36 that first had pylon mounted jet engines?
No enemy of America would have ever been killed if they didn't show up to be killed. HDR
