The vernacular is plum dude. And the trigger, slide lock and the I forget what they call it pin(lower right on the grip)
    do look plum.

Purple, plum, etc all have red in them to get to that color. So what ever you want to call that color, the question remains, why? And it isn't rust as I have soaked the parts and the color persists.

Alloy content of the steel is why. Too much nickel and or chromium. Remember the B barreled Mosin Nagant Finnish M39s? Same thing.

Here's a shitty pic of my new 50th anniversary 10/22 in wolf camo, bought at the world famous bob's army and navy store.

I couldn't say no for $200, you can hardly find a used one around here for that.

This is an Ak forum and you could sell those parts for for for way more if you say plum.
Can you wipe it off? I have seen that using a marker to touch up stuff can look like that.

Put 30 rounds though it today, accuracy isn't bad, but it doesn't hit point of aim at all. Recoil is fast and sharp but it doesn't buck at all. It was $250

Sounds pretty cool. Especially if you can shoot it accurately. Are you going to carry this one?

I have yet to imagine the situation where a single shot 3.5" barreled .223 is the smart choice, it also weighs more empty than my S&W 442-1 does loaded. About the only thing I can think of that it would do better than any other pocket gun on the market is defeat soft body armor. It makes me wonder why on earth they haven't made one in 5.7x28.

I had one of those made by a company called Echave Armendi or something like that. Was the biggest piece of shit I ever owned. Was entirely pot metal with a sleeve up the barrel. Brutal. Yours being an Erma is obviously way better.
