3 1/4" (8.2cm in the prissy countries) I would suggest you do some research on the R51 before lusting too much.

And since things were now dry enough to take a picture, today's gun #2 (technically gun #1 since I bought it first)

A very crude mystery percussion muzzle loader in .44 or .45 cal. I really wish it was a smooth bore, but it at least looks like it could be a shooter

    pretty nice looking actually.
I passed on an old percussion .69 cal Belgian last month for super cheap.

just load it with 2f and greased up roundball . that's all i've ever done.

Nice looking rifle. Why would you prefer it to be a smooth bore?

Because its setup like a shotgun, and it gives you more versatility in what you can shoot out of it.

Picked up a 92FS today at ripoff mountain, their prices are actually ok now that they are going out of business. $540 otd. Something to plink with, maybe look for a threaded barrel for the AAC eco can.

Congratulations! I've had one for a few years and like it a great deal. I guess I need to run by my local GM and see if prices have dropped enough to pick up some 41 Mag ammo I've had my eye on.

AIM Surplus recently had police trade-ins for $400-something. I'm kicking myself for not getting one - they sold out the day I was going to buy one.

Sauer 38H , this one is very late war Variation 5.
I got this for a fraction of my other one's cost ( mid-war variation 3) . right time and place.
original grips too but i need a replacement right grip as it's in bad shape.

I have one more rabbit to pull out of my hat this summer, then it's back into $$$ mode to save for a thing or two i've been eyeing up for awhile.
