Around 5 am today I turned 60. So.......
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.

Don't feel bad, I just received my medicare card in the mail making me officially old, though I don't feel it and refuse to allow it.

I understand that and I do what I can but my back has been acting up. The stenosis thingy
is popping back up and I think I will have to return to pain management. Oh joy.......
But I'm getting it done it just takes a little longer.

Once again thanks guys. I mean it. Belated Krup. My mind is 20

Are you retired yet? That's always something to look forward to. Most people I talk to that retire say they don't know how they lived with a job in the way although they are very active, helping family and volunteering etc. or running a hobby business.

Pretty much. I am drawing my pension from the local and have not worked (at a real job) in 3 years.

Hey I just turned 61 last Month. Not a big Deal, All I did that was different, was when I turned 59, I told my Stylist I was no longer going to Dye my Hair, as I started doing so in 1991. It took over 6 Months to get my real Hair color out so to speak. I figured that at 60, it no longer mattered. Other than that things are still the same. Paul

Congrats l921428x. And you have my sympathy on the stenosis. BTDT. Had discs between L4/L5 and L5/S1 removed when I was 17 back in the early '70s. And Cypher is right - stay as active as you can. If you don't move enough, the arthritis will lock you up.

Happy Birthday! Next week, I'll have you beat by 7 years.... Don't really feel much different than I did at 30....just a little slower, is all. But, that's okay. I'm not in much of a hurry to get anywhere, anyway.

One of the plus things about growing older is that a lot of my high school classmates can't say that now.
