    Any Linux Users?

I have become thoroughly fed up with Windows 10. I tried to install Win7 on a Win10 laptop. Microsoft seems to want to hold us hostage and limit our ability to make changes to our computers. Anyway...long story short I had to go nuclear with a clean OS install so while I was at it I grabbed a free ISO of Linux Mint. Smooth install, breath of fresh air! Looks interesting and different. I was hoping someone here might use the platform and be able to share some tips, tricks, tweaks, etc. Thanks.

I've been using Linux for years. I run Debian 8.

While I love xp and win7 as well as other non win10 ms os, linux is really nice and has come a long way since the 90s - where apps were scarce and having to write your own driver for some piece of hardware was a real possibility. You can find just about any type of app for linux as you can for win, from business to whatever. if you just want a system to browse on, linux offers a stable and robust platform for that and just about anything else. Most innernets runs a version of nix, such as the routers and name as well as web servers and so on, my networking appliances all run some form of nix and they run just fine once set up to my desires. I really like lycoris/redmond linux but gentoo took its place, now I think gentoo is ubuntu. I've also used the nsa version of linux, selinux.

I down loaded ubuntu a while back and I had it set up on it's own pc and i had nothing but problems.
That was the reason I got bored and wiped the disc. Is Debian better or more stable?
