    Bill Paxton has died

TMZ is saying he died from surgery complications at age 61. I really liked him as an actor and
I think my favorite character was his Chet in weird science.

This is sad, I don't know much about the guy personally; but I loved him in "A Simple Plan," and "Frailty"

My favorite Bill Paxton roles were obviously HUDSON from Aliens and Virgil Earp from Tombstone.

He did a great Fred Haise in Apollo 13.

Probably one of my favorite movie actors from the last few decades. From what I've read he kept himself apart from the mainstream Hollywood weirdo crowd & was a pretty normal guy. RIP

The various news stories I've read all just say "complications after surgery" w/o saying the reason for the surgery. Paxton was only 61 and, unlike so many "Hollyweirds", he leaves behind his wife of 31 years and 2 kids.

Some kind of open heart surgery. He had a stroke in recovery after surgery. Still no reason why for the surgery to start with. Possibly a bad heart valve?

I'm sorry to hear this. Frank Rourke just became my favorite tv cop.
